July 2006 Release - Feature Details

After a successful April 2006 release of WebCOBRA.com, Travis Software now gives you the July 2006 release. The July 2006 release is much larger and several new features which you can read about below.

Electronic & Credit Card Payments

Online Payment Functionality has been added to the July Release which allows WebCOBRA.com users the ability to turn on and off ACH processing (electronic checks) and Credit Card Processing. Convenience Add On Fees can be set for electronic payments. If enabled, Client/Employers as well as QBs can make ACH/Credit Card payments. If you choose to not use an online payment processor, then all electronic payments can go into an offline queue for manual processing.

July '06 gives Third Party Administrator users of WebCOBRA.com the ability to invoice a third party for the client/employers in the system. Designed to invoice an insurance broker, users can run invoices for all client/employers at once producing a consolidated invoice. Users can also save time and money by emailing the invoices.

Quick Certs

HIPAA Certificates may be produced on an "ad hoc" basis now. You may wish to produce certificates for individuals for whom you do not wish to generate COBRA Election Notices or for current COBRA General Notice Employees.

Email Notices to Carrier

Currently you have the ability to print Notices to Carriers for enrollments and terminations and now with the July Release, even benefit assignment changes. With the July Release you now have the ability to email these Notices to Carriers on a Sponsor by Sponsor basis.

Import CSV Files (TravisCobra PQB Downloader Files)

Are you converting over from TravisCobra? You can now, with the July Release, import your PQB Downloader files into WebCOBRA.com without changing the formatting of the file at all! This also allows for non-TravisCobra users to import CSV files if choosing not to use the XML/System Integrator based portion of the system.

Integrate Multiple Files at Once

The System Integrator has been in WebCOBRA.com since its inception and now more features have been added to make your job easier. If you have multiple files to integrate you can now upload them ALL and integrate them all at once. By doing this, you can let the system do the work and it will email you upon completion.

Pre-Test System Integrator Files

Have you been using the System Integrator, uploaded a file and selected to integrate it only to have your file be incorrect in some way? With Pre-Testing, the WebCOBRA.com System Integrator allows for an initial test which will tell you if the file will pass or fail during integration. If it passes, then you continue on with your integration. If it fails, the system will email you with a list of the problems in the file, allow you to modify the file and let you retest it before you begin the integration process.

Reports in QB Detail

The July '06 Release now includes a new tab in the QB Detail: Reports! You can now run individual reports for your QB right from their record. Detail and Payment reports are available on a QB by QB basis.

Inactivate COBRA General Notice Employees

Users have requested the ability to take old Employees and inactivate them and the Web Usability team at Travis delivered! This gives users the ability to hide old COBRA General Notice Employees but go back and view them if you need to with the click of a button.

Edit Payment Amounts

With the July Release we have no made it easier on you when an incorrect payment amount has been entered. Have you entered a payment and realized that it's the WRONG amount? Editing payment amounts is now available without having to void the payment.
