Travis Launches New WebCOBRA "InstaData" WebService

HOUSTON, October 14, 2010-- Travis Software Corp. is pleased to announce the addition of a major new WebCOBRA capability - the "InstaData" WebService. The "InstaData" WebService is composed of three optional modules, each available individually. The new "InstaData Exporter," the "WebCOBRA-to-TravisCobra Translator," and the "InstaData Importer" are further described below.

The InstaData Exporter module, available now, allows users to pull data from the WebCOBRA data files in real time and use that data in any way they wish. One example of how this module could be useful is that SQL or any other programming language can be used to create custom reports for clients, with up-to-date data as of the minute the report is run. Specific data is extracted from the WebService and then used to generate the report. Another example could be to interface an IVR system to WebCOBRA so that callers can find out if their latest premium payment was received.

The WebCOBRA-to-TravisCobra Translator module, also available now, can be useful to WebCOBRA users who formerly used TravisCobra and wrote custom reports by extracting data from TravisCobra's data files. By using the Translator, those users will not need to reprogram their TravisCobra reports - when the report needs to be run , the Translator takes WebCOBRA data and formats it into the data structure TravisCobra uses so that the report is generated using WebCOBRA, just as it would had been generated with TravisCobra.

The InstaData Importer module, to be available in November, gives users another way to import data into WebCOBRA. The Importer could be used, for example, to automatically import all the benefit plans for a new client rather than having to key-enter them. It could also be used to import new plan rates for all of a client's plans at rate change time, rather than having to key enter each plan's new rates.

With these new modules, converting from TravisCobra to WebCOBRA has never been easier. Travis is excited to be able to offer these important new modules to customers.
