January '07 Release - Feature Details

After many successful releases of WebCOBRA.com in 2006, Travis Software now gives you the January 2007 release. The January 2007 has some huge new features which you can read about below.

Web Programming Interface (API)

A WebAPI was added to WebCOBRA.com in the January Release which opens doors to user's Data. WebCOBRA now provides an Application Programming Interface using SOAP to allow customers to create real-time programs that query WebCOBRA for data or fill a local Access Database. Customers can then use this Database to create custom reports and custom file extracts, such as EDI files being sent to Carriers. To get started, developers can join devcenter.webcobra.com, a community website where users can download free code, ask questions, and share answers. The WebAPI opens WebCOBRA.com up to a new world of possibilities.

Bulk Mailing

January '07 gives Third Party Administrator users of WebCOBRA.com the ability to optimize their correspondence for Bulk Mailing. Designed to sort correspondence by zip code to save on postage, Travis Software is also offering a Travis Bulk Mail Service if users wish to outsource their correspondence mailing. Users can also save time and money by utilizing the bulk mailing service which will duplex print, sort, insert OMR tick marks and potentially mail correspondence with the touch of a button.

Tracking Dependent's Ages

Upon a dependent reaching either 18, 21 or 25, users may now distribute a Dependent Eligibility Reminder notice. This notice will generate when a Dependent has reached the age limit for any plan assignment in which the user has selected to track the dependent age.

Client/Employer Option Cloning

We know you are adding more and more Client/Employers into your WebCOBRA.com system everyday! To make your life easier, we've added a cloning capability so that if you administer Client/Employers similarly then you can clone the options of a preexisting Client/Employer so that they are setup identically. Of course you can always modify these options at any point, but we thought you could use the help in setting them up initially!

COBRA General Notice Prior Activity

Are you taking over a new Client and need to enter all the COBRA General Notices as if they've already been notified? You now have the ability to enter the date in which the COBRA General Notice Employee was notified. Check it out in the Employee Add Wizard with January '07!

Flat Fee Plan Administration

Notes & Reminders Report

Have you been using Notes & Reminders within WebCOBRA.com? You can now run a report with the January '07 release that allows you to find specific notes by Client/Employer and date range!

New Payment Option

The January '07 Release now includes one more Payment Entry Rule! You will now have the ability to decide whether or not you want to alter the QB's enrollment window when they send in a partial first payment.

New Postmark Date Field

Users have requested the ability to enter an enrollment form post mark date and the Web Usability team at Travis delivered! This gives users the ability to enter a post mark date during the QB Add Wizard when filling in Prior Activity information for the QB.

Rate Expiration Scheduling

With the January '07 Release, we've added the ability to notify users of the fact that a rate change will be needed for a specific plan. Upon entry of the plan, a rate expiration date will be available for entry as well as during any rate change performed. Your Client/Employers will be notified that rates are about to expire and a change is needed. You can let the system automatically create this correspondence notification or you can manually send the notification.

Modify QB Event Dates

Have you entered a QB only to realize that you entered an incorrect Event Date? With January '07, you can now modify this date before letters print and without deleting the QB! Editing QB Group Event information allows you to change the event dates and reassign the benefit plan assignments regardless of whether it's a primary or secondary event.

Scan Multiple Pages at a Time

With the January Release we have now made it easier on you when scanning documents into WebCOBRA.com. If you have multiple documents you wish to scan into a QB's record you can do so seamlessly with our new January release.
