Encryption and Security
The most important characteristic of any On Demand web-service provider is how secure your data is on its servers. WebCOBRA On Demand customers can rest assured that they use a secure COBRA Administration Service.
- User Passwords - The user is the only individual with access. Not even Travis Software Corp. may obtain the password. If you lose your password, you may request that it be reset through the website or by calling support. Without logging in, your data cannot be accessed. This provides a first line of "defense" to the security of WebCOBRA.
- Sensitive Financial Data - Information such as bank account routing numbers and credit card numbers are stored using 128 bit encryption.
- Access to Data - Each page of WebCOBRA uses a single use unique identifier .so if an individual tries to view a page that they do not have authorization to view, they will not be able to access the page.
- Transmission of Data - All data is transferred over HTTPS using SSL encryption. This is the industry standard.
Who has access to sensitive financial data?
WebCOBRA maintains a detailed log of each user who views transaction details, which includes electronic transactions such as credit card payments.
